ERISA Advisory Council Final Meeting for 2009 |

The council meeting will begin Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. EST in Room S-4215 to discuss findings and recommendations on the three issues the council studied this year: stable value funds and retirement security in the current economic conditions; promoting retirement literacy and security by streamlining disclosures to participants and beneficiaries; and approaches for retirement security in the United States. The council will begin the second day of the meeting on Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. EST in Room S-4215 for further discussion of its findings and recommendations. The afternoon session will resume in Room S-2508 and include an update from the Labor Department's Employee Benefits Security Administration, as well as a presentation by the council of its recommendations. All meetings are open to the public.
